“Fake it till you make it” seems to be the mantra for these Huskies, who really wanted to go to an event for Golden Retrievers. Living in Denver for years means Kira, Hoya, and Zoya have seen many mountain adventures. But missing the massive “Goldens in Golden” event for four years gave them serious FOMO. Every year, over 5,000 dogs take over the streets of Golden, Colorado. This year, the crew at @2husketeers decided to join the party. This video shows the trio attempting a very fluffy plan. They weren’t going to let a little technicality (being a Husky) stop them from getting pup cups.

The clip starts with a massive welcome banner for the event. Then the camera tilts down, revealing the most suspicious group of pups ever. Each dog is wearing a full-body Golden Retriever costume. They even have placards. One says “Don’t be suspicious,” while another claims they are “Golden on the Inside.” What’s more? They look totally unbothered by the costumes.
They stand right in front of the “real” Golden Retrievers, and nobody seems to mind. It’s no wonder the imposter act is a total hit with the crowd. People stop constantly to take photos and give them scritches. It probably helps that they are also eating pup cups. The sun is out, and the sky is perfectly blue. It looks like the absolute best day to spend outdoors in Colorado.
Everyone seems to be enjoying their “identity crisis” signs. The owners even joke in the caption that they aren’t sure if they fooled anyone. One viewer comments that they only saw three adorable Goldens. Another fan calls them “impawsters.”
This video already has over 5,800 likes. It just shows that as long as treats and love are involved, any dog can fit in anywhere. They get plenty of treats for being such good sports. They really do blend right in with all the other yellow dogs.
