This video is a direct response to a comment claiming her Golden Retriever didn’t want her lying near him on the couch. Bailey is already hanging out on the sofa when the clip starts. His mom decides to lie down on the opposite end. Instead of staying put, Bailey immediately looks over, he gets up, and then he walks right over to snuggle as close as possible. It’s pretty hard to misinterpret that.

He even tries to share the exact same cushion she’s using as a pillow. So, the idea that he wants his own space is completely debunked.
Golden Retrievers are basically famous for having no concept of personal boundaries. They are the ultimate shadow pets, and he doesn’t seem to mind the extra cardio. Then Bailey pauses for a second during the last move to debate his next move. He looks really comfy in his current spot. He glances at his mom a couple of times.
It’s like Bailey’s wondering why she won’t just stay still, but then he decides the cozy spot isn’t worth being alone. He gets up again, and he goes right back to her side.
