Dog teething is a natural process in which baby teeth start falling out to make way for permanent adult teeth. While the process is normal, puppies often start chewing on random things to relieve pain and soreness. Chewing becomes such a routine for them that they can’t let even a minor hurdle get in their way.
The same was captured in this video shared by @milo.retrieves on Instagram. The video shows a cute Golden Retriever puppy named Milo sitting comfortably in a car with his mom. He is busy chewing on his mom’s fingers. It’s clearly teething time, and he is ready to nibble on them to soothe himself. He is completely focused on gently gnawing on her fingers. However, there is a small hiccup in the way— which is literally a hiccup.
While the pup nibbles, he starts getting hiccups, and it’s clear that he doesn’t enjoy them. Every few seconds while chewing, the pup lets out a tiny hiccup that interrupts his nibbling. He pauses for a moment, startled by his own body, but then goes right back to chewing as if nothing had happened. Soon, the hiccups return again. It almost looks like an internal struggle for the pup. His brain wants to chew, but the hiccups keep getting in the way. Viewers found the video hilarious, calling the dog “adorable.”
