Easter family rituals are always special, and Yuki’s mom, Cecelia Fales from @ceceandherpups, just posted the annual Yuki Easter egg hunt. This clip shows exactly why this mixed breed is a total pro at finding treats, even with floppy bunny ears in his way. Cecelia usually shares the beautiful and messy parts of life in OC and LA on her feed, but today’s video is all about her dog and the Easter eggs hunt. She says this is an easy enrichment activity that any dog would love. Yuki has been doing this for years now, and he is ready to get to work.
Video shows dog hunting down all the Easter eggs and cracking them open
The video starts with Cecelia filling up these colorful plastic eggs with treats. She makes sure to snap them shut really loudly for the audio and ASMR. Then she has to lock Yuki in another room so he doesn’t cheat. She goes around the house hiding them behind vases and even in the curtains. She even puts one on a shelf.
Yuki is clearly losing his mind behind that door because he is so excited to start the hunt. When she finally lets him out, he goes straight to work. He is sniffing everything, checking everything out. Even with the bunny ears slipping over his eyes, he finds the first one almost immediately. He has to crack it open with his teeth to get the prize. Cecelia says he has done this four years in a row, so he is a total pro at this point.
He even spots the one hidden in the curtains that she thought was hidden well. One viewer mentioned they love doing this every year, too and that it was their puppy’s first time this year. Yuki the dog is definitely showing everyone how it’s done.
There is a funny moment where Yuki starts rubbing his head on the carpet. Those bunny ears were completely distracting him from the mission, so Cecelia asks if he wants them off. And they come off. But then he gets right back to it and finds the one under the coffee table.
Mom actually almost forgot where she hid the last Easter eggs, but Yuki’s nose is too good. He sniffs it out in the living room and clears the board. The video ends with him sitting back down with his ears on. Cecelia asks if they are doing it again next year, and he just looks so proud of himself.
