You can have dogs from the same breed, and train them the same commands, and yet one tends to come out so different from the other. And this post from @tonychopper_thedoberman just goes on to elaborate on this fact.
We see the Dobermans, Tony and Dakota, sitting in their Chicago kitchen and waiting for their dad to give them a very specific instruction. In this latest video, a simple command for the dogs to speak turns into a total comedy routine. Tony is ready to go, but Dakota has a much more “polite” way of handling the situation.
Dogs ‘speak’ very, very differently from each other
In the video, Tony is the one who really takes the lead, and the second he hears the command, he jumps up and lets out a massive, deep-throated bark. No doubt that he is the overachiever here since he keeps hammering out these loud barks every time he is asked to speak. He even thinks the instructions for his brother are meant for him.
The brown Doberman just keeps going while the camera pans over to show Dakota sitting perfectly still on the floor. The latter is a bit more reserved, and he just moves his ears back into that “airplane mode” look (as one commentator called it) while he listens.
When he finally decides to talk, it isn’t a booming bark at all. It’s actually a tiny, high-pitched whine that sounds more like a squeak than anything else. He looks a little confused, and the difference between his quiet voice and Tony’s loud one is honestly hilarious.
Their dad just starts laughing because the two sounds couldn’t be more different if they tried. One viewer joked that “Dakota used an inside voice,” while another called the contrast “milk chocolate vs white chocolate.”
It really is just a classic case of two big personalities living in the same house. Over 55K people have liked the video because it’s so rare to see such different vocal tones in the same breed. One fan even mentioned how their own pets refuse to talk at all, making these two look like pros.
