A Golden Retriever named Charlie has a daily ritual of stopping by a tennis court, where he loves having someone throw a ball for him. But one morning, he arrived to find the court empty. His disappointment soon turned into excitement when a thoughtful neighbor noticed him waiting and decided to surprise him with a tennis ball of his own.

In the video, it is made apparent that Charlie visits the tennis court every morning, where someone usually throws a ball for him. The routine has become something the Golden Retriever clearly looks forward to, so he seems confused when he arrives one morning to find the court empty.
He sits patiently by the fence, seemingly hoping someone will show up and start his favorite game. Text over the video explains that Charlie stops by every morning because someone always throws him a ball, but on this particular day, no one was there.
A neighbor soon spotted the furry baby waiting outside the empty court and realized exactly what he was hoping for. Rather than letting him leave disappointed, the neighbor went home, grabbed a tennis ball and returned.
The clip then shows him walking toward Charlie with the bright yellow ball, immediately catching the dog’s attention. He even pretends to come out of the tennis court with the ball, recreating the familiar routine Charlie knows and loves.
In one clip, the Golden Retriever jumps excitedly as the neighbor holds the tennis ball just above him. The video later shows Charlie proudly carrying the ball indoors, seemingly delighted to have finally enjoyed his morning game. Charlie’s owner perfectly summed up the heartwarming moment, writing, “It made Charlie’s entire day. A little kindness really does go such a long way.”
