Prinnie the Toy Poodle has become somewhat of a familiar face around Melbourne, Australia, where she often joins her owner on walks and outings. According to a recent video posted on @prinniethepoodle, one stop along those outings has become especially important to the tiny dog over the years: a nearby nursing home where John lives.
The text on the video reads, “My dog’s favorite person lives in a nursing home near our house,” and the footage quickly explains why. As soon as Prinnie sees John, she rushes toward him excitedly, covering him in kisses while wagging her tail nonstop.
John, who is in his 90s, appears equally thrilled to see her. His face lights up the moment she approaches him, and at one point, he gently picks her up and places her on his lap, cradling her affectionately.
The interaction feels natural and familiar, as though the two have spent years building trust and companionship. In the caption, Prinnie’s owner explained, “It’s been three years and they’re still just as obsessed with each other as the day they met.”
