Bear may be one of the biggest members of the household, but he seems to know exactly how to behave around its smallest one. An Instagram video captures the Rottweiler gently sniffing a little baby and sticking close by with quiet curiosity. The wholesome interaction has quickly made the pair favorites among viewers, who couldn’t get enough of the big dog’s careful approach.

A Rottweiler named Bear is winning over Instagram users after a video showed the lovable giant doting on a baby with the utmost care.

Shared by @myrottiebear, the clip features Bear staying close to the little one, gently sniffing them and quietly keeping them company. The big dog’s calm demeanor immediately stands out, with every interaction showing just how comfortable and affectionate he is around the little baby.

The video includes the on-screen text, “POV: your Rottie loves babies,” and Bear certainly makes a convincing case. Throughout the clip, he carefully leans in to sniff the baby, almost as though he’s checking in on them.

Some viewers had another theory. Given how often babies end up with food on their clothes and hands, Bear’s repeated sniffing looked suspiciously like he was searching for a few forgotten crumbs. A later clip shows him returning for another gentle sniff, further fueling the joke that the baby might be carrying hidden snacks.

The video’s caption adds another sweet detail about their relationship, reading, “Born 3 days apart!” While one is a growing baby and the other is a growing Rottweiler, the pair appear to be sharing their early years together.

As the video circulated, viewers filled the comments section with their own observations and experiences. “They drop so. Many. Snacks,” one commenter joked. Other Rottweiler owners said the behavior felt familiar. “My two rotties love our babygirl,” one viewer shared.

Meanwhile, another pointed to the breed’s reputation as loyal family companions, writing, “This is exactly why Rotties were bred, Family, especially children!” Bear’s gentle approach also had people imagining what could happen next. “Be careful! He’s going to give that baby some big kisses and I’m not sure I can handle that,” another commenter added.
