The arrival of a newborn often changes the entire household, but for two Golden Retrievers, Gamja and Chip, it simply meant taking on a brand-new job. Wherever the family’s baby boy rests, the loyal pair somehow end up right beside him, quietly standing watch as if protecting their newest sibling has become their full-time mission.
Mom always finds Golden Retrievers next to newborn baby
The heartwarming moments, shared by the Instagram account @gamjamypotato, have left viewers melting as the two dogs prove they never stray far from the family’s newest addition. The video opens with the baby sleeping peacefully on a bed while one of the Golden Retrievers rests with its head tucked gently against him.
As the montage continues, the message remains the same: “You will find them next to him.” Whether the baby naps in a bassinet, relaxes on a play mat, lies on the bed, or snuggles with his parents, one or often both of the Golden Retrievers appear nearby.
In one scene, a curious Chip peers over the side of the baby’s playpen, watching him closely. Another clip shows both dogs curled up beside the play area while the newborn naps peacefully inside. Throughout the video, the two Golden Retrievers quietly shadow their baby brother from room to room.
The wholesome clip quickly filled with comments from people who loved watching Gamja and Chip embrace their new role as big siblings. One user wrote, “The sweetest protectors who began their watch even before you knew.” Another commented, “Aww love seeing this devotion.” One viewer added, “He’s such a lucky little boy!” Another wrote, “Stawwwwwp! These cuddle puddles are just so sweet. Built-in besties.”
