When you have a baby to carry, a box of milk is probably the last thing you want to worry about. Luckily, one dad had an Australian Shepherd who was more than happy to take that job off his hands. Boston grabbed his baby sister’s milk and carefully carried it upstairs while his dad handled the car seat. If that is not teamwork, what is?
Dog helps dad by carrying his baby sister’s milk up the stairs
Boston, an Australian Shepherd featured on the Instagram account @bostontheaustralianshepherd, appears to have taken his role as a big brother seriously. In a video shared on the account, the pup is seen walking up the stairs alongside his dad, who is carrying the baby’s car seat.
Boston has a job of his own, though. The dog is carrying a box of milk for his baby sister as he follows his dad upstairs. With the box held carefully in his mouth, he takes each step cautiously, seemingly determined to make sure his sister’s milk reaches its destination safely.
The video adds a humorous touch by imagining what might be going through Boston’s mind. Text over the clip reads, “Another box of milk. It’s like little hooman inhales this stuff.” The joke references how much milk the baby appears to go through, leaving Boston with yet another box to help carry.
Despite the extra task, the pup does not appear reluctant to help. He stays beside his dad throughout the short trip and carefully adjusts his pace as he climbs the stairs.
Viewers quickly noticed Boston’s sweet attempt to help and praised him in the comments. One person wrote, “Bestie you are so careful with what you are carrying. You are so loving and the best helper.” Another commenter called him helpful to his younger sibling, writing, “Boston you are so helpful for your litte sis.”
Someone else called him a “good Kuya,” a term meaning older brother. “Boston, you’re such a good Kuya! And handsome at that!” they said.
