At first glance, Marge and Juno could easily have someone checking twice. They have the same general look, but Marge’s dad has clearly spent enough time around these two to spot things most people would miss. In @largemargedog’s video, he introduces the sisters as his “double bears” before getting down to the important business of explaining who is who. The rescue dogs take turns sitting on the grass while he points out their eyes, snouts, coloring, size, and even their backsides. And once their personalities come up, the differences get much easier to remember.

Dad starts with their eyes. Juno’s are smaller and sit a little farther apart, while Marge has bigger eyes that are closer together. Juno also has the longer, narrower snout. Marge’s face is wider. Then comes the Central Asian Shepherds‘ coloring. Their coats aren’t completely different, but Marge has more tan throughout, while Juno has more spots. Juno also has a longer “tot,” as Dad calls it, while Marge’s is wider. And Marge is bigger overall, with a little more height, length, and muscle.
Those are the rescue dog differences that might take a while to notice if the sisters aren’t standing next to each other. Put them together, though, and Dad makes a pretty convincing case. Their personalities make things easier. Juno is the cuddly one who doesn’t wait for an invitation. Dad says she will walk right over, flop on top of someone and demand pets. Marge enjoys affection too, but she prefers deciding when the snuggling happens.
There’s one final difference that doesn’t need a close-up. Juno sheds much more than Marge. Dad proves it by showing the couch, which is covered in fur, and his “Holy smokes!” says plenty. The sisters are both described as extremely sweet, and their story is especially nice because they have stayed in each other’s lives. Marge was rescued by the family, while Juno lives nearby, so they have been able to keep seeing each other.
More than 6,200 people have liked the rescue dogs’ video, and quite a few viewers seem to have had the same reaction: wait, there are two of them? For these lookalike rescue dogs, the faces may require a closer look. Their personalities apparently do not.
