There are plenty of places for two dogs to play, but Brumby and Russ somehow landed on the one spot currently occupied by people trying to work. The Golden Retriever siblings are happily wrestling inside the tiny shower cubicle while plumbers are busy nearby. Thankfully for us, @brumbythegolden caught the whole funny little scene. The tools are sitting just outside, the work is clearly underway, and the dogs seem completely convinced they have found the perfect playroom. However inconvenient.
Golden Retriever siblings turn the work area into a playground while the hired help tries to get the job done
The video opens right in the middle of Brumby and Russ having a proper wrestling match inside the shower cubicle. It would already be funny to find two dogs playing in there, but the plumbers are actually working in the bathroom at the same time. Their tools and supplies are scattered across the floor just outside the shower, making the situation even harder to explain.
The text on screen says, “POV: The plumbers trying to work but this is YOUR play area,” and honestly, the dogs seem perfectly happy with the arrangement. Then Mom laughs and asks, “Are you guys for real?” That is enough to make both dogs suddenly rethink their behavior. Brumby has a paw resting over his brother. He quickly notices it and pulls it away. Both dogs become very still and start watching the plumbers instead.
Brumby lets out a little sigh while his sibling lies on their side and gives Mom a sideways look. She can barely believe what she is seeing and calls Brumby’s name, but neither dog seems interested in explaining themselves. Instead, they keep looking around the bathroom like this is a completely ordinary way to spend the afternoon.
Eventually, Brumby lowers his head beside his sibling, and the two settle in to watch the work continue. The Golden Retriever siblings seem to have mastered a very specific skill: creating chaos and then becoming suspiciously quiet the moment someone notices.
The video has picked up more than 2,000 likes, with viewers especially amused by the dogs’ reactions. One person joked, “If I don’t look at her, she can’t see me. I’m safe,” while another summed up their attitude perfectly: “We are just tryna help.”
