Morning cuddles with Dad are just getting started when Cactus realizes the wake-up routine is missing someone. The rescue dog comes running into Michael’s bedroom for his morning cuddles, settles in beside him, and looks perfectly happy for a few seconds. Then a loud complaint comes from the foster puppy‘s pen across the room. Cactus immediately knows it.
The video from @cactustherescue catches the sweet moment he goes from enjoying his own cuddle time to making sure Cowboy gets invited, too.
Rescue dog runs in for cuddles and makes sure the foster dog gets included too
The video starts with Michael patting the duvet and calling his rescue dog over. Cactus, who appears to be a Mix-Breed dog, does not need much convincing. He runs into the bedroom, jumps onto the bed, and heads straight over for some attention.
Behind him, Cowboy’s pen is visible in the room. Cactus settles down beside Dad, but the peaceful moment does not last long. Cowboy starts complaining from his pen, and Michael looks over before asking Cactus, “Should we get the baby?”
Cactus has his answer ready. He gets up, moves to the edge of the bed, and sits there looking toward Cowboy. Then he barks, as if there is no time to waste. Cowboy needs to be let out, and Cactus appears determined to make that happen. Soon, Michael lifts Cowboy from the pen and carries him over to the bed. Cactus gets excited all over again as the little foster puppy joins them.
Now everyone is where they are supposed to be. Michael pulls Cactus closer and calls him a “floppy boy,” while Cowboy follows along and gets his own turn beside Dad. Cactus even settles over dad as they cuddle, keeping close while Michael gives the puppy several kisses. A little later, Cactus wanders back over and plops down beside Dad again. Both dogs eventually settle in while Michael scratches them and calls them “good boys.”
More than 147,000 likes show just how much people enjoyed the sweet routine. One viewer said, “I can’t see a Foster puppy… I just see Cactus and his little brother Cowboy,” while another wrote, “This is why I let my dog on the bed. The pure joy.”
