With her name placed on the euthanasia list for Wednesday, September 16, she needed a local Houston foster or adopter by 1 p.m. to have a chance at survival. The shelter also needed pledges to help cover her expenses so that a rescue could tag her.
As the deadline drew closer, the urgency surrounding Roczy’s situation continued to grow. She was described as a gentle and affectionate dog who deserved another chance, but there was no guarantee that someone would step forward before time ran out.
