Halloween usually brings spooky costumes and creepy decorations, but one Golden Retriever puppy has managed to make the holiday look ridiculously adorable. An 11-week-old Golden Retriever puppy named Lily recently became the star of an outdoor Halloween-themed photo shoot, and she seemed to understand the assignment almost immediately.

Wrapped in a white sheet with carefully positioned openings for her face, Lily posed like a tiny ghost while the camera captured the moment. The shoot appeared to begin with getting such a young puppy to stay still long enough for a photo. The video even jokingly questioned whether an 11-week-old puppy could cooperate for a ghost-themed shoot. Lily, however, proved that she was more than capable of delivering the perfect Halloween moment.
The adorable puppy did not appear to be completely on her own for the shoot. The caption, “Lady taught Lily well,” suggests that Lily has an older Golden Retriever to learn from. Lily’s Instagram account, @ladyandtheblues, belongs to Lady the Golden Retriever, a digital creator whose profile also features her sister, Indy, as well as foster puppies. The account describes Lady and the other dogs as the “Goodest sisters” and has built a large audience around their everyday adventures.
The adorable pose quickly caught viewers’ attention, especially Lily’s little tongue poking out from beneath the sheet. “Lily’s lil tongue. Lady is a great teacher!” one user wrote. Another praised the Golden Retriever’s training, commenting, “Mama is a great trainer.” “She really did,” another viewer agreed. One person admitted that Lily’s expression made resisting a puppy even harder, writing, “It’s the little bit of tongue sticking out for me!!
