A funny Instagram reel is making people laugh over the clear difference between two corgi siblings, Maple and Morty. The clip was posted by @mapleandmortycorgi two days ago and already has about 9,100 likes and 68 comments. The post opens with both dogs together and the on-screen text, “There are two types of dogs.” The caption adds, “…and this was AFTER a two mile hike. ?,” which makes Morty’s behavior even funnier.

In the reel, one corgi sibling is Maple, who looks completely content doing nothing after the walk. She lies on the grass in a pink harness while the screen reads, “One is perfectly happy just chilling.” The other corgi sibling is Morty, who quickly becomes the star of the clip. The video then shifts to him sitting near a picnic table, staring at his owner, and looking like he urgently needs something to do.
Morty’s behavior creates the whole joke. The on-screen text explains, “The other starts emotionally unraveling if they’ve been relaxing for more than 14 seconds and immediately needs a task.” He first looks up from the grass with an anxious face. Then he sits by a small plant, lets out what seem like tiny cries, and raises one paw toward the table.
In the later shots, he appears near the bench again while still looking restless. Maple, meanwhile, stays relaxed in the background and quietly proves the difference between their personalities.
That contrast likely reflects normal breed behavior, too. Corgis are alert, smart, and active dogs, so some may settle fast while others keep searching for jobs. Here, the difference between Maple and Morty feels especially funny because both had already finished a two-mile hike.
