The Cane Corso looks like he has been waiting for bedtime for quite a while. His tiny human, Valentino, meanwhile, is still very much awake and has found something else to keep busy with. Inside the baby’s room, Valentino stands behind a basket blocking the doorway, pushing it back and forth while squealing with excitement.

On the other side, the dog just watches him. @valentinobaby.ca catches one particularly funny side eye toward mom, almost as if he needs to know whether she’s seeing this too. The tired dog has clearly done his part for the evening and would like things to become quiet now.

Tired dog looks baffled by his tiny human’s endless energy before bedtime

Valentino keeps pushing the basket around and making plenty of noise. The Cane Corso stands quietly on the other side of the doorway, watching him without moving much at all. Then Valentino pauses. The dog keeps staring, and he really does look exhausted.

The tired dog’s reaction is what makes the clip so funny. Nothing much happens. He just looks at Valentino as if he cannot understand why the evening is still going. Even when the squealing stops for a moment, the dog stays right there, patiently waiting in front of the energetic baby.

The text on screen says, “He’s exhausted but the shift doesn’t end until bedtime,” while the caption jokes that he has “been promoted to big brother against his will.”

Over 5,300 people have liked the video, and the comments suggest that this dog-and-toddler combination is familiar to many families. One viewer said every video they see with a dog and a toddler has the dog looking exhausted.

Another joked that he probably accepted the role without reading the full job description. Someone else wrote, “he needs a nap,” while another asked in the dog’s POV, “Do these things ever go to sleep?”

There’s a softer side to the video, too. The Cane Corso isn’t trying to stop Valentino or get away from him. He simply stays nearby and watches what his little human is doing. With young children and dogs, an adult should always be close by and actively supervising, even when the interaction looks calm.
